I think this would be true, and would bet that is the case. And wasn't one of the 8 loss teams(1981 Jefferson) not really an 8 loss team. I say that because IIRC they had to forfeit a number of games that year for the use of an ineligible player. The lost something like 2 games on the ice that year. I was wondering about that (what teams did that were undefeated coming into the Tournament) but didn't feel like doing any research.tezer13 wrote:I also believe at least 8 teams have entered the finals without a loss only to have their only loss be in the Championship.
