This isn't a tread for posting top 20 projections for next year, though feel free if you'd like. This is more for what do you hope to see next year and/or what do you think could make HS hockey better.
First off, I just wanted to say having the 7AA and 7A semi-finals at Amsoil Arena was awesome. It's the best facility outside of the Xcel in Minnesota, and to be able to walk in at 11:00 am and watch 4 hockey games through 10:00pm was my favorite section playoff experience ever not including the fact my favorite squad didn't win. This is something sections 8AA and 8A, and others, should consider. A semi-final Saturday at Sanford Center in Bemidji with the Jacks, Roseau, Moorhead, Brainerd, Warroad, TRF, etc, would be a similar great experience for the fans on the west side of the north.
Another thing I think would be cool is if the MSHSL hyped the season openers more, kind of like have some "Ice Breakers" like they do in college hockey. Try to get FSN involved. Choose one of the 5 D1 college rinks and have a quadruple header on the first Saturday of the season with some of the top teams/best rivalries.
Also, I'd like to see a mid-season tournament held in MN that would put the top teams in the MSHSL against some of the other top HS/prep teams from other states.
And finally, here is a marketing thing the Wild could do, when they have home games on a Saturday night, make a double header at the Xcel by having an afternoon high school game.
Just some random thoughts. Let me know what you think, and what ideas you have that would add excitement to the season.

I want to see Streaming video expanded. What WBL does with the horn should be implemented by every school. Fairmont has been doing it for years and its a big plus, and will greatly expand the interest for the game. Schools with the Cube (Cloquet, others??) are great. I dont think WBL had any shortage of fans in the building, which i think is the primary perceived threat from such technology.
FSN or any TV carrier for any amount of games would also be excellent.
The Edina Holiday Tournament that was streamed was a great success. It would be great to develop something like that into more.
I'm in the minority for the Tournament. This years' was a record breaker, and everyone claims to want to change it?! Why reinvent the wheel?!?!
