I've heard Centennial has a really good team this year. They are ranked #1 in the latest LPH poll too.

Didn't GR win it last year? How many kids from that team were 2nd years and moved up to GR Varsity?

I think 5 players total were moved up to varsity, only one 9th grader, the rest were 10th graders. If you're suggesting there were some questionable moves I would strongly disagree.

I am not suggesting anything. Genuinely asking a question. Stuck a nerve I see?

I just thought you had brought it up before, must have been someone else earlier in the year whining about younger players taking varsity spots. Was probably Northwoods.

Hopefully we can get some game reports from fans and parents. I enjoy the first hand reports.

Correct. But have not played NEARLY the schedule of anyone else there.
I'd guess more of a Wayzata/Minnetonka record if they played in the city.
Loss to Elk River who didn't make the tourney.
Beat Jefferson and Maple Grove each once.
And Grand Rapids three times.
never saw Edina, Tonka, Centennial, or Wayzata.

Moorhead is very good. Their only loss was in the semi-finals of a Roseau tournament, to Elk River, who is no slouch. Moorhead was without a top defenseman in that game due to an injury the game before. You can take them lightly because they play a "weak" schedule, but any team that does that will be making a mistake. I am certainly no Moorhead fan, but i have seen them play several times and they are going to be a handful!

Why hasn't Moorhead played some of these top teams? I have seen their speed, and they will be tough to beat if the goalie is hot.

Watch for Moorhead to tip over some 612er's by not showing their hand all year. Centennial has strength, and I believe not one first year skater. Their goal tending will be tested. Of course, Edina is Edina and Rapids is up nort ya know.
Could it come down to coaching? Some weakness could be exposed if lines and players are matched. And nobody likes to get hit, as could be seen all season.

This field looks extremely strong. I think you can make a case for any number of teams winning this year. I could even see GR repeat - they are always a tough beat at State because of their willingness to play physical. If they can stay out of the box, watch out Centennial and the others. I for one am really looking forward to seeing Moorhead play. Any AA team in MN with 1 loss is outstanding. Simple as that. Centennial and Edina should probably be the favorites, but this is one year where the goalies will decide who wins state. There are that many close teams. This is nothing like Edina PWAA 2 years ago. Go Spuds!

Absolutely.
Every game, especially that first round, will be decided in the net.
Both Grand Rapids and Jefferson could knock out the two favorites if their goalies show up. These are my two favorite goalies in the tourney.

Could you have mistaken ER for EP?
