Watching every game of the Tournament. I watched a lot of hockey...

While Playing in the A tournament the top line of Bowen, Loven, and Tweten looked to be the best line in the state. I know that Malmquist went down for Edina and the Lakeville North line is outstanding.

I saw Karl'sEast description of them as the man-child line. I know people might think I'm crazy and comparing an A line to AA line is apples to oranges, Still that line dominated Mahtomedi and Hermantown, two teams that were tops in the state A or AA. The New Prague goalie stood on his head and stopped about 15 of Bowen's shots. Loven looked like he could have scored a double hat trick if he had any breaks. That line put up 4 goals against Hermy. It wasn't just the goals and points, it was the absolute control of the pace of the game. I find it hard to believe that they weren't paired together all season.

I wonder what other lines people think were better this season.

Others that were better? Debatable.

I will say about watching the boys from LVN headed to SCSU that they simply have another gear. Their ability is more than just brothers who spread the ice and know where to pass the puck.

Even my boys were impressed. And they don't give praise easily.

Agreed. There were times in the Thursday and Friday night games where I thought the Poehlings seemed to be coasting in the offensive zone, but then they'd come right back on the backcheck and make a play. In last year's tournament I thought Nick seemed to be the better twin, but this year watching them they are both elite and compliment each other well. Nick had a way of finding teammates, threading the needle on some of his passes. And Jack had some absolute snipes in the tournament. The EGF line was very good, but the Poehling line was on another level than any other line.
