Rapids has made some huge improvements this year. They now move the puck out of their defensive zone with crisp passing and good positioning. The defensemen can beat a forechecker and carry the puck out of the zone. One defensemen made an end to end rush and put in his own rebound. Rapids played more physical and were able to compete with H-M on the one on one battles and not get muscled off the puck. Also sensed an intenseness that they never showed once last year. This is the first year since I've been watching this scrimmage that H-M did not dominate the play. I'd give Rapids a slight edge in play. I understand this was a scrimmage but Rapids might finally live up to all the hype. The biggest question is goalie. Don't know who was in goal, but he didn't have to make any tough saves other then the goal H-M scored.

2nd shorter session no goals
Play has been fairly even. HM forwards look a little better and Rapids has an edge on defense

Saw second half of the first session. Play was pretty even. Stejskal was in the net for GR. Rapids played a bunch of kids...must have had 25 players dressed. No Mattson.

Sounds like pretty even scrimmage, as expected.

Ive had them ranked 5th and 6th, most others very close as well.

No Mattson, why I wonder? Did McGlaugh play, is he 100% ?

Meierhoff was for east not sure on Blaine. East also best Jefferson 4-0 and lost to EP 4-1 (Meierhoff didn't play)

Didn't meierhoff get pulled in the first 10minutes? The goalie for EP didn't look great either, but he doesnt have to be. East took only 6 shots the whole scrimmage.
