Will Garin will NOT be playing against Edina tonight according to reports out in Victoria. HF has a good team this year but this is a big loss for them tonight going against the Hornets.

I do know that this team played without him this summer and did very well. They do have others that will be good. (Anderson, Rock, Redden, Marooney, Ziemer and Almquist along with very strong goaltending. They beat Lakeville North, Eastview and Prior Lake and only lost to Duluth East 3-1. Should be interesting...

He is sitting out game because of antics in game against benilde. Bumping refs etc. GB

Just to clarify they beat LN this summer with about half of LN's team being the JV sqaud and LN's JV goalie.

If memory serves me correctly, HF and BSM played in Sections last year. Was this player also the one who took the stupid penalty at the end? BSM scores on PP and wins, sending the Fire home...

High School players emotions often get the best of them (testosterone, etc).
It might have been Peterson, so excuse me if the memory isn't what it once was.

The Fire were in the same boat. I know they were missing Garin and their top 2 Defensemen.

I guess my point is HF is not in the same league as LN despite beating them in a summer tourney

GB, oh I remember I was at that game

SATs , to be fair to the fire, they did put up a excellent effort against Duluth East at Eagan tournament, before losing with several off the pipe. I think the hounds had most their stars at that tourney. Garin did play that weekend but Matt Anderson didn't

Its still summer hockey. They don't hand out state titles in July.

He should have got more than just 1 game suspension for the cross check to the ref. It was ugly!

When something like this happens in a scrimmage how is the punishment assessed?
