Grand Rapids vs Minnetonka

Grand rapids gets in the win column after a 5-2 effort over Tonka. It took a little while for Rapids to get going and they had to weather a handful of odd man rushes. Burt got the start in goal for Rapids again and played well. He didn't have to make as many quality stops as the Bemidji game but several nonetheless. Rapids' game got stronger as it progressed. Tonka came strong out of the gate and controlled the play through the first. They also controlled the shot counter through 2 periods but rapids dominated the 3rd and had the advantage in shots at the end of the game.
It was a very entertaining game. It was a treat to see rapids play tough the whole game, the intensity and effort were definitely there. They have some talented defenseman but need to work on turnovers and passing in the defensive zone.
