Edina - Centennial should be good.

I'm also intrigued by the LSHSPTCUC-JV matchup.

Red Knights win 5 to 1 at Aldrich. Bischel steps up for BSM. By contrast, unusual amount of goals given up by senior Begley. Mills did not play for the Pioneers. Gleekel had 2 goals, and has grown considerably since last season. MinnHockMag livestream quality pretty good, and Pete W play by play always great. SOGS to follow: 34 to 21, plenty of offense by the Red Knights.

According to the Hub.
Blaine defeated Totino Grace 12 - 3.
But Totino out shot Blaine 30 - 19.

That would mean 12 goals on 19 shots.

I wonder how accurate that is?

Don't know what the finally shot tally was, but Blaine had 25 in the first period alone. So it is definitely not accurate.

Went to this game in person. The Red Knights have nice depth and move the puck very well. They may not have the stars of their last title run, but they work well as a unit and have no real weaknesses. They look like they're in midseason form with their crispness; Hill, on the other hand, did not.

Sounds like Mills is out indefinitely for Hill, which certainly dents their offense. The depth on D beyond the top pair is a concern, and this wasn't Begley's finest night, either.

Benilde vs HM game was absolute domination. BSM controlled the game from the drop of the puck. Game could of easily been 10-1.

Here is our recap of last night's BSM/HILL game. Got some quotes from Paul afterward and some really nice pics of 4 of the 6 goals scored.

BSM is now an easy choice for #3, the quest to find #4 will be solved this weekend I'm sure (likely the Halloween Machine).

Yikes, a lot of red closer to the green and white goalie than the other green and white guys in those photos. HM defense a little weak on positioning, or just some freak photos?

Karl ,MinnScout, and TS

Saw BSM kids in Elite League , but not yet in person this regular season until the EP game on the 11th. Blaine shortly after that on 15th.

They were able to handle GR, BVL, and HM at their home arenas, pretty impressive streak.

Your thoughts on how you compare them to last years somewhat inconsistent Red Knight team? Basically same kids, just more mature and confident? Other factors?

Should we be gunshy, or are they top 5 material?

Thoughts on the EP game? Will Mayer. Heimbold, Austin and rest of D Corp be able to neatralize CM and MG? Might we have underrated Red Knight Dmen in favor of more high profile kids?

How about Blaine shortly after that, with RT and LN?

Compared to last year...I'd say it is a year of maturing. After the game I asked Cade Gleekel the difference between this year and last and he said, just getting to know each other. This group has more depth.

I would not be gun shy...this is a really good team.

No one will be able to neutralize CM.

For today, they are the fashionable pick for #3. The record speaks for itself.

Note: have seen EP X1, HM X2, BSM X2, GR X2, WAY X3, DE X1, Edina X2, Burnsville X1, Tonka X1, PL X1

Need to see LVN, Blaine, Bemidji and Stillwater before accuracy takes hold.

PS Met Karl last night in person, he looks likes he's 11, maybe 12. Great to meet you Karl.

I think BSM is top 5 easy at the moment. I disagree that this game "could have been 10-1." The score was a fair reflection of what happened on the ice. There was a moment in the second when Hill cut it to 3-1 and applied some decent pressure in the offensive zone, and it looked like it might become a game. Instead, they took a dumb penalty and the wheels fell off.

My question about the Red Knights: they're a very open team that doesn't rely on defensive systems the way teams like Hill or East or Wayzata or even Edina (to some extent) do. That makes it easier to come out flying at the start of the year while the others are still getting things together. We'll see whether the gap is as big once the other teams settle in a bit more.

Well, their Dmen must be doing something right to stop the likes of the Grand Rapids and Hill Murray elite forwards on their home ice, never minding BVL.

YHH , when do you have time to actually watch YOUTH hockey?? (But just out of curiousity, have you seen Mtka bantams a couple times yet, what do you think, likely to three peat someday?)

When I met Karl (he was still at East) I was wondering if he was ever going to need to use the business end of a razor. Still do.
