Who is the number 2 Class A team?
(Not counting Hibbing)

For me this is the most interesting game of the night. Breck has the high octane offense and Apollo has the best defense in Class A. I've always believed that a good defense can shut down a good offense. Would really like to see this game.

Apollo's defense did shut down Breck's offense in the quarterfinals at state last year...

Apollo has superb defense and goaltending, but this will be the most potent offense they've seen since Bemidji the first game of the season. Having last change to get Breidenbach out there on Ellingson will help, but I think the Mustangs have too much firepower.

Apollo's first line is potent.
They usually send two guys hard and control the puck once on their stick and look to set up a teammate.
If that line does not take penalties it is on the ice a lot and have good stamina to do it. If they have to kill penalties they will get in trouble.

I'm going with the Eagles and their defense to come up big against Breck in this important Class A State seeding game.

Too much firepower. Breck 4-1.

With apollo rolling three d, I am not sure how long it will be before Breck wears them down. See it close to start, but Breck ends up putting up 5 or 6. Final 5-2 Breck

Breck up 2-1 after 2. Great game so far.

Breck and Apollo tied at 2 in the 3rd period.
