Roseau isn't in a single ranking or QRF in the top 4 and STMA isn't below 3 in any rankings.

Roseau isn't in a single ranking or QRF in the top 4 and STMA isn't below 3 in any rankings.
STMA lost by 3 to Bemidji, lost by 2 to Moorhead, tied Roseau and tied then beat Buffalo by 2. With results from the rest of the section, I could see a win over Brainerd shooting them up to the 3 seed. But without playing the game they're up to how things shake out with the rest of the section. And Brainerd actually did much better than them. I could understand STMA ahead of Roseau, but Roseau has a win over Brainerd that STMA doesn't...

They do email them, but the regional secretary, Dave Harris in Alex would not be releasing the info yet (I am sure not everyone has sent theirs in yet).
Talked to two coaches yesterday with no inkling that they had voted yet.

Roseau 1-5-1 (10-12-2)
Tied only head to head game... (I would agree that Roseau played tougher section games, but you need to win them.. no such thing as a quality loss.. a loss is a loss)
Roseau did lose 3-5 to Bemidji while STMA lost 2-5... but lets not forget the 0-5 loss to Bemidji that Roseau also had.
Roseau doesnt have a quality win against a top rated team.. best wins are Brainerd, Cloquet (sub .500 team) and Duluth Marshal (Sub .500 team) also got swept by Warroad (sub par A team)
STMA has quality wins versus top rated teams in the state - Duluth East and Breck.. also a bad loss to St. Francis. the tie early with Buffalo isn't a great thing but it wasn't a loss vs arch rival (like the Warroad loses)
I totally get the Brainerd argument, Just don't see the Roseau as 4 and STMA at 5 at all. (BUT I DONT GET A VOTE

I don't necessarily disagree with you, which is why I say it's so important that STMA didn't play Brainerd. So, while Roseau only has 1 section win, that win is over Brainerd.crw wrote: Section Record
