EP is 2-4-1 in their last seven games and somehow climbed to #3 in the LPH poll?

Amazing people of the forum...tell me why is it that a team that is 4th in the Lake, sitting at 2-3-1 and their ONLY wins in the last month are against HOPKINS and JEFFERSON can get away with this????

YOUR TEAM certainly wouldn't be able to.......

Strength of schedule. Pretty much sums it up. HF only loss in last 7 is to GF, as you know, and even if "it was outdoors" and it's tough to judge those games, fact remains you can still make a case for EP to be ranked ahead. It may not be correct, but you can make the case.

Because HF plays a 2nd tier schedule. Not difficult.

FACT CHECK---ACTUALLY if you look at strength of schedule HOLY FAMILY IS NUMBER 9

Lets just strap on the skates at sections/state and prove who is the better team...... everything else is just conjecture and for discussion....... :) Although if Sats were here he'd be providing immense feedback on this subject!!

mate your stats were referring to the last 7 games and the related movement within the rankings. until HF leave for a better conference this will continue to happen.

this thread wasn't even meant for HF...IF Blaine or Duluth East or anyone was playing as Eden Prairie right now and only beat HOPKINS AND JEFFERSON...
they'd be out of the top-10....

EP is not #3 and everyone that is on this forum should not recognize LPH..is all im saying

You should call LPH. They also messed up the U12B.
Don't let this get to HF coach and increase his screaming.

I agree with you. Every team has figured out the one trick pony line up. Don't crown em just yet!

Agreed. Right now, it's all about gearing up for Section play. I doubt Smith and the Eagles really care if they are 3, 4, 7, or 8th in LPH. They are probably looking forward to another Section final vs Tonka (just like last year).

I've noticed a few things about EP in recent games:

1. Defenders have figured out how to defend and double team Casey thru the neutral zone, and watch his chest instead of his eyes or feet or stick

2. EPs physical game has been dialed back since the Duluth East game.

3. Not sure the goalie rotation has been a good thing down the stretch
