Who's better? I know Gabby has all the speed in the world, but he doesn't really seem to know about the defensive side of the game. Rolston knows both sides and knows them well. So who is the better all-around player? <p></p><i></i>

Rolston is definitely the more valuable all-around player. He can score, pass, and plays hard on both ends. Gabby is a true scorer and can beat the defense with his speed, but lacks both physically and defensively. Rolston is more complete right now, perhaps Gabby can become more complete with age. <p></p><i></i>

Rolston and i think Waltz too have a complete game.<br><br>Did you read that MLPS Trib peice on Gaborik? The Wild will be in a corner to sign him or deal him before the end of next season. Rolston is king.....

Gaborik is one of the most dynamic and talented players in the league. You can't argue that.

Too bad you never get him for a full season, his groin is about as suspect as Dominik Hasek's.

I'd rather have Rolston, more reliable.

Exactly, never know when Gabby is going to go down and be gone for 3 or 4 weeks. If he were a little sturdier, I'd take Gaborik.

Personally I'd say they aren't comparable. Both really good players who do different things. I like Rolston more, but Gaborik is not by any means a bad player.

I don't think any is saying Gaborik is a bad player. They're just picking who they like better. I will take Rolston.
