As a result, GRHS Hockey Online, the longtime unofficial home of all GR hockey info, has shut down, according to a statement on its main page:

I get why Klatt and company made their own page, but it's a shame this appears to have happened the way it did.

Thanks for all your work over the years, GRHS. It's always been an impressive site, even if we East and Rapids fans have snipped back and forth over the years. You'll be missed.

It's a shame. It seems like grhs hockey got steamrolled on this one. I understand why they did it but it seems like a slight to not even acknowledge the hard work and contributions the folks at grhs hockey have provided over the past 11 years before they proclaim themselves as the "official" resource for grand rapids hockey. Jeez.

Did the school district approve of this official site? Could each activity now get sponsors and have their own official website? Got to wonder how school officials feel about this?
