This tournament has always been somewhat of a joke as far as seeding goes and who the host plays every year...in most years the best two teams end up playing each other in the semi-finals leaving the championship game somewhat of a disappointment. I'm actually surprised that Blake wasn't switched with Jefferson leaving all the top teams in the upper bracket....and a better chance for the host team to get to the championship

So early in the season... Who pissed in your Weaties. So the first sentance you say it's somewhat of a joke because they always set up the tourney for the host team. I myself don't know, but when was the last time the host team was in the Championship game? Then mid paragraph you prove yourself wrong by saying your surprised that Blake is in the lower bracket and not paired up with Hill. So always apparently doesn't "always" apply as you say it does. Or does it. I'll read your post one more time maybe I'm not reading it correctly so I know what your trying to say...or not say. Cheer up big fella. Maybe they'll invite your team next year. With a couple top five teams in state, the tourney should still be fun to watch no matter what the pairings.

First of all, the Kaposia is sponsored by South St Paul and is a fundraiser for the school. If SSP wants to set the brackets to favor themselves to be in one of the last 2 games, so be it. SSP is one of the VERY few schools who has a fan base beyond the usual parent/grandparent crowd . Their base may be smaller now,but, it still exists. I do like the change in brackets this year, but if SSP had left them the same, so what. The lopsided brackets make for a good talker and is part of the "game". Heck, now I wish they would change it back!

Well, ER/Z has been on quite a roll . Last Sat , they come from behind with 2 goals in the 3rd per to beat Centennial(all 5 goals by both teams were pp goals). Last night, they put Blaine on a 2 game-losing streak by beating them in OT.
Well done! Next up is Flake on Thursday with seeding implications for Sections..Win that and look out Kaposia.....
