Brehm. He was good, not great. Walk on at Denver.green4 wrote:To answer when the best player at Edina was a defenseman question you have a couple of options. Last year, though not a great team the best player is either Sammy Walker or Clayton Phillips, so make your pick there.
I think in 2012, Jack Walker though only a freshman, by the end of the year was clearly the best defenseman on the team, though not as good of a player as Hurley, he had closed the gap by years end.
I think if Phillips doesn't answer the question from last year you go back to when Joe Gleason was a an Senior. I remember watching him in the state game as he made Cloquet look silly with multiple end to end rushes. Budish Everson and Lee were on the team, but I think Gleason at that time was better.
If you don't like that answer then perhaps Joey Brahm from I believe 2005, he went to play at Denver. Matt Reber was on that team, and so was a younger Matt Leer, but I remember thinking Brahm was probably the best overall player. Of course, I was only 10 or 11 then so take that with a grain of salt.
Eh, I was close I guess. I still standby the Gleason comments as him being the best player, but that might be an unpopular opinion im not sure.BlueLineSpecial wrote:Brehm. He was good, not great. I considered him but had trouble putting him ahead of Budish, at least in that year. He certainly has a case, though.green4 wrote:Eh, I was close I guess.
