Edina beat Burnsville 5-4 tonight.

Interesting game. Burnsville got the first goal then Lewis Crosby scored 3 goals in 6 1/2 minutes. Jungles pushed the lead to 4-1 in the 2nd with a wrister from the slot that was setup by a nice move by Crosby. Burnsville got 2 in the 3rd to cut the lead to 4-3. Then Walker scored a highlight reel goal on the PK. Shoemaker hit him with a pass in the right slot. Walker had his back to the net and he fired a backhander into the top corner without turning around. Crosby took a 5 min major for slashing. Burnsville had tons of pressure and scored 1 goal but couldn't get the equalizer.

Edina was flying in the first period. They were all over the place and physical. It looked like they were going to blow the doors off. Early in the 2nd, Scheerer broke the goalies neck protector. It took forever (and a ton of people) to fix it. The delay seemed to slow things down quite a bit. Burnsville got momentum back on their side in the 3rd with the 2 early goals, then the Walker goal let the air out. Brunner and Ahcan each had 2 goals for the Blaze.
