After starting out 7-0 GR is 3-4-1 since. Other than East they haven't played poorly in any of the games but beating CEC will not be a small order. I look for these 2 to split their series this year.

Well. Playing the Indians and Hounds twice each a year is the best! 3 awesome twin ports/range Hockey programs with a rich history/tradition. Cloquet hockey has been competing since 1948.

Coach Esse and his staff and his teams routinely have done some amazing things with less talent. Now we add talent and Jamie Langenbrunner to that staff. I can't waite to pull up to the IRA tomorrow night! It's always good when the purple and orange play hockey!!!!

Agree with that Kniven. I'm glad I can get some of these games on the web now. I have not been in the IRC Arena since 1980. If the Injuns can get by the quarters maybe we can cross paths at Amsoil in about 5 weeks.

If Rapids keeps going to the box Cloquet will coast to a win tomorrow night.

They definitely need to clean that up a bit.

T'Hawks need to get their house in order, starting with the game against Cloquet. As pointed out in several recent posts:

1) Stay out the box
2) Shore up defensively; way too many shots against

Other options to consider
1) Load up with the MMH line and see if Cloquet can stop them
2) Settle in on a goalie

Anytime you combine raging testosterone and Fe heads there's going to be issues.

Two Rapids penalties. Rapids is having trouble breaking out of their zone cleanly.

4-1 Rapids 7 Minutes left second period. Moving the puck well.

Thought Stejskal played very well in the nets. He kept Rapids in the game during that lethargic first period. First and second lines looked out of sink with M, M & H not playing together. Breakout struggled all night.

Kind of a tough crowd after a 7-1 win over a good team. :) I hear you though, always room for improvement.

So GR struggled with a 7 to 1 win. So how did Cloquet play?

Hadn't seen them play until last night. Decent looking team. Little lean on higher end talent. Couldn't sustain a forecheck after the first period.

I thought the word on the street was they had great, but young, talent. Do they not have high end talent or is it just not developed/matured yet?

Didn't get a look at a program so not sure about their ages but they had a few kids with high end speed.
