Who overachieved the most, compared to most pundit expectations/knowledge at beginning of the season?

I guess if you take into account everyone they have lost, possibly you could claim that..

had it not lost just a couple of those players it would be by far the team to beat...

so, it lost 5-6 players... big deal, it still has a good nucleus from the great youth teams which means it still will be better than essentially everyone else....

I will take these "overachievers" on my team any day. And hire them in my business when they complete their education.
