I'll be in GR for their game against Andover tonight. Any suggestions on places to see or a good local restaurant?

Forest Lake is okay.
Zorbas if you like that stuff.
There is a little café on the main drag (Hwy 2) by the Holiday gas station. Good simple home cooking - sorry cannot remember the name of it.

Maddogspizza at the Dutchroom.

The Ironhead viewing is spectacular. And the pizza's great!

Sammy's Pizza is the best! It rivals Jake's in Roseau as my favorite!

1. Mad Dogs Pizza (you might be the black sheep as this is the biggest hangout for GR fans before games)
2. Forest Lake (good food)
3. Florios (5 minutes west of GR)
4. Toivos (right across from Forest Lake)
5. Applebees (1/2 off apps and drink special from 4-6)

The best bar food in the area is at the Locker Room in Coleraine. Their chicken wings (especially the sweet chili wings) are the best I've had anywhere, including the Cities. Also if you go after the game and you've beaten the Rapids, I'm sure the locals will buy you drinks the rest of the evening. Forest Lake Lodge food is way overrated. Better off going to the Timberlake Lodge.

How early do you recommend getting to the rink? Does it fill up quickly?

To be safe, I'd say by 6:30, especially if you're in a group and want to sit together.

You can always sit in the Greenway sections. There are 3 of them located around the arena. All are Handicap Accessible and come with your own sink and urinal.

That's true we are a little more sophistacted. Rapids fans bring their own mayonnaise jar and bucket to take care of their restroom needs.

lol.

It is Tuesday so Ground Round has buy one get one burgers. Yes it's a chain but they taste good and it's a smokin deal

Otherwise the Dutchroom is always a good choice. They finally remodeled and updated it, very nice inside. Just don't wear green and white in there.

Yes they do.

Judy Garland was born there and lived there for a while.
