3. Duluth East

6. Grand Rapids (assumes Hain and McLaughlin are back)
7. Minnetonka
8. Centennial
9. WBL
10. Hill-Murray

Pretty good list there. Looking at that Mr. Hockey list, there really isn't a clear favorite. I think Hain might be but some would argue he's not even the best player on his team. That should be a really fun race next year, production will be very important.

It's all for fun! And it is fun! Let the offseason chatter begin. I still believe The Grand Rapids boys will return. Playing USHL before and after the high school season is plenty. If your meant to be.....it won't matter what you do so stay in school :)

Looks like both the YHH boys and HH Loren Nelson have gotten off the Lee Smith and Pat Oleary trains. Assuming all talent returns, which is the premise at this point, both teams will be formidable again next year?

EP loses a ton of talent next year and John Kelsey (not Loren Nelson) of HH has Wayzata at 11. Not bad considering the regular season they just had.

The whole governing body is a joke if they stay in class A. I was told yesterday that they actually had 2000 students this year.. Nuts!!!

Night man

Yes , lots of Eagles graduating

But lots coming back, besides JJ , that helped in support to get them as far as they did

Plus decent goaltending as usual

Don't count them out of Section 2. Guessing they will be right there in mix again with HF and Tonka

Mahtomedi will be a top 3 class A team next year. Strong group of sophomores.

Wait? What? Are there people that think Hermantown shouldn't play in Class A anymore and I totally missed it or something?

I'm sure they know how duped they were and will move them back where they belong.. In no way possible would they move down a team they knew would be an instant contender. So many better options out there to move down that are left shaking their heads..

I'm fairly certain he's referring to Monticello being allowed to opt down.

Of course he is. He is a baby who will whine to anyone who will listen because the team he likes was crap this year and lost to them. Twice.

Get over it BoDangles, watch some cartoons and take a nap.

Just the facts... And all you can do is lash out because you know it's true.

False, I lash out because you bring this crap on every single thread where anything is mentioned about Class A and MAML or Hermantown. Get over it, it will change when someone who has an actual educated opinion on the facts decides it's going to.

SCC is losing a lot of scoring. Do you think they have enough returning/coming in to maintain a top 3 ranking? I think they may take a small step back next year before becoming a top 5 team in the next couple years after. Goldygopher, you got any thoughts on this?

Always been hard to say with private schools. Things change fast so they could pull a fast one and end up with someone they aren't expecting to. Definitely belong in the top 10 consideration. Defense is going to remain almost fully in tact and they had an excellent freshman class this year that played varsity. We'll see how the new goalie holds up but they should have an excellent chance at returning to state, especially if some of the rumors are true and they end up in section 5A.

SCC did lose a lot of scoring for sure...but 94 points between their 3 freshmen this year should go up next year. That along with stability on D, plus 5 or 6 VERY strong kids coming in from Bantam AA should keep them firmly in the mix next year.
