How can you say that when the 2 goalies for the Select 17 National team are Beggs from Rosemount and Woods from Tartan?

politics in goaltending is more of a problem than with skaters because there are not that many spots---look at the last few years in selects/elite--coaches kids make it ---bantam players-- 3 Moorhead goalies --who doesnt make it???????? any guesses?????

Regarding politics - not saying it does not happen, but since we are talking about the goalies on the 17's. Consider this - the final 3 goalies were Beggs, Woods, and Christian.

I would think that if politics were playing a big role, they would have found room for Beau Christian on the team.

I truely think they selected who they believe were the top goalies in camp.

Who was that?

Keep in mind there were a number of players that elected not to try out or withdrew from the tryouts due to the confilict of spring break and other sports.

Just because you don't see a certain player on the roster, one should not assume that there were politics.

Are there politics? Of course - you will always face politics in every level of hockey, in every sport, and in life in general - some people need to get over it and deal with it.

In my previous post, I was implying that I don't think that politics played a role in the selection of the 2 goalies that were selected.

If my memories serve me correct, last year it was Beggs and Christian with Woods being in the mix.
