Yeah, I was rooting for the other team but congrats to Minnetonka! Great season for them and a well deserved and long overdue "Ship" for them! How cool was this state tournament with two teams getting their first championships!

Lake Minnetonka sweep! The Orono and Tonka parade will be Monday in downtown Wayzata (just kidding).

Thanks! Lake Conference is so tough with the talent being produced.

If Eden Prairie can't win it, it's nice to see someone from the Lake Conference win it. Congrats to the Skippers. Goldsworthy's goal now is to get a dynasty going since he got the 'chip in Year 1.

Was there in '85 and a few times in between. Had to watch online from halfway across the planet but it was fun to finally see it happen.

I was at the '85 Tonka-Jefferson 4OT thriller too. Quite a game although it ended flatly (the next day) for the Skippers. I actually don't remember much about the actual game, but I recently watched it on youtube and can't believe how many scoring opportunities Tonka missed in the OTs. Credit to Jefferson goalie Tom Moran.

The nice thing about this year's postseason is that Tonka got its multi-OT game out of the way in the sectional final, instead of state tournament quarters or semis.
