Stoneman Douglas Hockey Team Begins Play at Plymouth Tournament

DESCRIPTION: "The USA Hockey National High School Tournament started Thursday, as 36 teams will play 68 games in a span of five days. One of those teams is Stoneman Douglas from Parkland, Fla, whose school endured a mass shooting tragedy."

Great event! Good crowd at PIC today. Edina won, Wayzata lost, and Douglas was one of three Florida teams that all lost their opener today.

Some very high level players off AAA Midget teams. USA Hockey allows players to play club (Tier I) and school (HS team) hockey. One California team has several high level Midget players, including Teemu Selanne's son.

Not Minnesota Varsity, but a good event nonetheless.
