Solid player but young so time will, as always, tell if he pans out. Absolutely love seeing a Kennedy kid commit though!! I don’t know what’s in the pipeline for his supporting cast in next couple of years, but would be awesome if he stayed at least a year or two longer and hopefully give them a chance for a deep 2A run.

I’m old school so also love seeing a kid from Kennedy committing to play D1 hockey. They have a kid returning who’s in the Elite League and scored in the high 30’s last year. Not surprising that any program in MN can produce a high end kid or two from time to time, it’s the quality 2nd and 3rd lines and D-pairs that are the difference between the haves and have nots. But definitely congrats to Chase, well deserved honor and the real work starts now!

Kennedy has it tough. Good for him though, I am sure I have seen him play at Richfield once or twice. I know their program dropped for a few years, but I think the numbers are back up and they probably get the few from Richfield. I will have to watch him closed when they come by the arena.

They don't have anyone in the Elite League - the kid with high 30's in points isn't returning for his senior year. That said - hopefully Kennedy can be relevant again - it's good for HS Hockey!

BP, assuming you’re talking about Dosan. Hadn’t seen him on the early departure list, do you know where he’s going?

Yes - going to Northstar Academy in Alexandria.

Who will NCA play against this first season? Is their goal to play MSHSL?
Speaking of private schools joining the MSHSL, we gain a team this season with the Gentry Academy Stars. It'll be interesting to see who ends up on that team. Their top team is still the Gentry Academy Galaxy who play an exclusively AAA schedule.

They are playing U18 AAA teams and Prep Teams from across the Midwest - not sure all the teams - but have to assume SSM, Sioux Falls, Omaha, Culver, Iowa Wild, etc. The goal isn't the MSHSL at this time - I believe the goal is to play prep schedules.
