Blake 2, Chaska 1 after 1. I am half-watching the feed and missed the first Blake goal. Hawks are dominating play but Blake has been opportunistic. Fun up-and-down game so far.

Chaska showed their explosive ability that period, all without Mike Koster, who went off hurt after the 1st. They scored 5 straight before Blake clawed one back, and Chaska got another one on a major penalty that will carry over in to the 3rd. Defense and goaltending in short supply. Blaine Warnert really having a strong night.

St. Louis Park 5-1 over Breck. Shots 35-19 in favor of SLP.

SLP dominated the 1st period and pretty much cruised from there. Breck’s only real sustained pressure was late in the 2nd during a major penalty PP. My stream cut out when it was 3-1 midway through the 3rd, and I gave up trying to get it back up and running. I think one or both of the final Oriole goals may have been empty netters based on the timing, but I’m not sure (The Hub doesn’t say they were).

Mike Koster was on the bench wearing warmups and was pretty animated in the second period.maybe under the weather. He took a pretty nasty slash to his arm in the NIT tournament but I’m just speculating

YHH reporting lower body injury for Koster.

Happy to see some balanced scoring for Hawks . That’s a good sign. Jr Owen Thomas got the 3-2 go ahead goal , which started the 4 goal run
Also McDonald and Erickson with goals , in addition to Warnert (2) and Benz

But Hawks will have to ask some tough questions
about how Blake got back in the game

Blake being a good team, having a pulled goalie, and Chaska without its best player on the ice probably something to do with it. That said, both teams will want to avoid giving up 5/6 goals if they want to make a playoff push. Early in the season, would imagine both will improve on that front.

He played and got in intermittently on the 4th line, but he scored the 3rd goal.
He looked pretty healthy.
