With Brady and Belichick winning there 6th super bowl together last night. It got me thinking of coach/player combos in high school hockey that were dynamic duos through the years. Obviously it's a little different with hockey and especially high school because your only there for 3/4 years as a player. But basically just thinking of teams that won State Titles or were in the State Tournament a lot with a somewhat big name coach and one of his big name players. A few that come to mind are 1) Mike Randolph/Dave Spehar@Duluth East 2) Tony Sarsland/Paul Martin@Elk River 3) Tom Saterdalen/Mike Crowley@Jefferson. Please post would love to see some ones from back in the day before my time!

Crowley/Saterdalen is the 1st one that came to mind for me.

Mayasich/Thompson would obviously probably be number one all time it think though.

My mind went straight to a combo that was more of a Marv Levy/Jim Kelly combination: Doug Woog/Phil Housley

In my lifetime it’s Saterdalen and Crowley, hands down. There were tons of great players in the Jags dynasty but Crowley was their GOAT.
