Scouting notes from a Minnesota source: “Bennett is a forward on our team - he has played wing on our top line for two years now and has also played for our 2003 Minnesota Blades team. Very skilled, high-end player, see’s the ice extremely well, always looks to make a play and (does a good job) of looking to involve his teammates. (He) makes all of his teammates look better. (Bennett) has a sneaky shot, and he has become a lot better goal scorer these last two years than when we first got him. A great kid, very coachable and a pleasure to be around!”

Another name no one knows in MN HS Hockey.

As a parent of a recent Redhawk grad and active follower of the team for the previous 4 seasons, this school has gone downhill in attracting talent since the early 2010's and the 2014-15 season when they were A #1 NCAA seed and NCHC Playoff Champions.

Miami needs to take a page out of the CC book who is starting to land some top-end MN talent to become relevant again. There are way too many good HS players in MN that Miami, which is an awesome school with a great hockey facility, should be looking at.

He's awfully good! Anyone that has seen the team play knows him, Martin, the Lucius brothers, and a couple other players. Well done young man.

That's because he doesn't play MN HS Hockey (or maybe that's your subtle point). He plays Tier 1 hockey.
