The Farmington vs. Hastings games has huge section seeding implications . With very little in the way of common opponents between the Lakeville schools and the rest of the section. Hastings has a win over Eagan while Eagan beat North twice and split with South. A Hastings win and they probably get the #1 seed, a Farmington win would make seeding the top 5 a crap shoot.

I knew it meant something but not sure of the far reaching ramifications.

Nick Williams left the game after being blasted from behind into the boards (by evidently) the EP HC’s son, on the very next shift after EP scored on the PP to narrow the score to 2-4 and briefly get back into the game. It didn’t last as Edina scored 2 more goals during the ensuing major penalty. Williams could have suffered a concussion as a result of the hit, an undisciplined, STUPID penalty, especially from a coaches kid.

Hastings was a #8 seed last year, they should be a #1 seed this year..... without a change in section alignment I do not think this has ever happened before. We have to wait for Sunday to be official but I do not see a way Hastings is not the #1 seed in 1 AA.

I meant to add earlier that Mahtomedi should have been forced to forfeit tonight based on the crimes they committed against the eyeballs of everyone who watched tonight’s game. They wore some sort of hideous Valentine’s Day tribute uniforms with pink trim. My eyes are still searing from watching the video feed; I can’t imagine how bad it was in person.
