I'd have to agree. Two should be sufficient. <img src=

To me if you make the commitment to a college you should stay there for 4 years same with high school but to tell you the truth I would be suprised if he spends more than 2 years there. It all depends on how productive his freshman year is. If he plays well he maybe gone after his freshman year. Hopefully the gopher offense doesn't humiliate the Sioux defense to bad this year though.

Edited by: <A HREF=

I've seen him play, he really doesn't impress me much. No i'm not hockey expert. But from the games i've seen him play i just don't think he's gonna be as good as everyone says he will be.

have to agree with some of the posts here. lee does not really impress me much. the scouts and recruiters seem to be pretty consistently high on him though. i predict he will succeed at the college level because of one major reason. he will be given every opportunity to succeed because the scouts and recruiters don't want to be proven wrong. happens all the time. for some reason these guys latch on to a player and tell you how great he is and that player is given every opportunity possible. the kid can not help but succeed because he knows he has everything to gain. if he plays poorly they'll blame someone else, keep playing him, and hope to hide him with their top line. again, it happens all the time. to cap it off then they'll boast that the kid is on their top line. no chance beyond college for this kid unless he improves his entire game 300%.

Lee has all the skills

To make it to the next level. He will have to learn to be a little more physical, but I don't see that being a problem for him. The biggest question is "can he handle the pressure." He has always played hockey for fun. Now he is playing for his future and everyone has very very high expectations for him. I gaurantee he has the skills and deserved to be drafted where he did. Now it's just a matter of how he progresses over the next few years. That's the crazy thing about the NHL draft. The ages are so young, every draft pick is a gamble. You are gambling on their future. The exception is Crosby. He will probably be ok.

I talked with someone who was at the Jr. tryouts in Lake Placid - someone that doen't have a pro/college agenda - said he was one of the top D there. Don't let one bad State Tourny game fool you. He's the real deal.

i did see him a few times throughout the year and that was where i formed my opinion. after the tourney i hadn't seen anything that changed my mind. i hope you are right for the his sake though. he seems like a pretty humble kid in spite of all the attention. i'll be interested to see how things work out over the next few years.

I've seen lee play alot and i think that he is gonna do fine the only problem that I have seen is when hes under pressure he kinda breaks down.Thats the only thing that might stop him.The freshman class at und is gonna rip it up they got some studs good luck to all of them.

Edited by: <A HREF=

JESROBER IS FUNNY, DON'T LEAVE COLLEGE FOR MILLIONS OF DOLLARS...............HMMM WHY DOES ANYONE GO TO COLLEGE (ATHLETE OR NOT) TO IMPROVE YOUR MARKETABILITY AND QUALITY OF LIFE....... I.E. TO GET A JOB THAT PAYS WELL. THIS KID WILL BE GONE AFTER TWO, AND NO HE WON'T SHOW UP PHIL HOUSLEY BUT HE'S GOING TO RETIRE WITH PLENTY OF NHL DOLLARS IN THE BANK. SEEING A COUPLE BAD GAMES DOES NOT MAKE FOR A GOOD EVALUATION. I'VE WATCHED THIS KID AT EVERY HOME GAME AND MANY AWAY GAMES SINCE FIRST YEAR BANTAMS.

Brian Lee has been identified by the experts as a young man with great potential. I only saw him play on TV at the state playoffs and limited play at the world juniors. Mr. Hockey must have been based off his play during the regular season and his ranking by the experts. I can see he has talent but feel he should have went onto the juniors to develope further before playing at UND. He has alot of work to do before he could make it to the big show. I wish him the best of luck with this upcoming season. Lets go Sioux!

Anyone who thinks Brian Lee is overated is either really Jealous or they dont know anything about hockey. Anyone who is recruited by Minnesota and North Dakota must be good. Do you think a team in the Heart of Canada is going to take a chance on an American because he has a good reputation. Ottawa is one of the best drafting history's in the NHL.

Some of you people have a lot to learn. Must be Jealous gofer fans talking. If he was going to the cities to play you guys would have him touted as the Best American Born Dman ever.

I'd be saying the same thing if he went to the goophs. He'll hold his own in College, but once he gets to the NHL he will have a tough time.
