Transfers for 2019-20 season
Rumors already abound, at HP 54 weekend.
Lets start with BSM, MinnScout can you provide clarity on the numerous high profile rumors?
Fire, who will be incoming HF goalie next year? A certain nearby top underclassman? Or another from far away?
How about on the East Side, will certain Gentrys end up on STA roster?

O'Leary over the weekend didn't seem too grumpy so I don't anticipate the number of Wayzata hockey players converting to Catholicism this year like last. GB
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
GB, consistent with rumors I was hearing.
But, KP may be fishing for other Lake conference prospects??

BSM has all the talent they need for '19-'20.
Was good to see Motzko around last weekend as well, but then was probably also watching his son in net for the 15s.

That would sting for Marshall as Caspers was announced as one of their captains for 19-20 at the end of their season.612hockeytown wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 11:15 pmCaspers?minnscout wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 10:17 pmThere are two from Wayzata bantam AA that are at or going to Benilde.GoldenBear wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 8:18 am O'Leary over the weekend didn't seem too grumpy so I don't anticipate the number of Wayzata hockey players converting to Catholicism this year like last. Heard that there was a Canadian import coming into TG to tend the net next season, but that could have fallen through.BeauKnowsHockey wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 5:42 amCaspers did play for the Blizzard where Tim Parkos is a coach... TG will be getting a D from Wisconsin. Used to be a solid D, unsure of his ability now vs 2-3 years ago.

This is downright comical. So TG is now recruiting players from Canada, Wisconsin, and SW Minnesota?!612hockeytown wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 9:08 pmInThePipes wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 6:24 amI had heard a couple of months ago that there was a Canadian import coming into TG to tend the net next season, but that could have fallen through.BeauKnowsHockey wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 5:42 am

MN hockey and the MSHSL will crap on kids leaving early. “Play with your friends and stay community based.”gopherpuck516 wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 9:17 pmThis is downright comical. When you can essentially re-tool year after year to fill holes when do you draw a line?

Heard, but not confirmed, Warroad looking west for some help. 3 kids from Minot making move East to play for Warroad (boys side). One would guess these families have sisters who play as Warroad has been bringing in both boys and girls to take roster spots of kids that actually grew in the system for years.

A couple of jobs must have magically opened up at Marvin's. I am guessing the parents of these kids have the exact qualifications they were looking for.USA218 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 4:06 am Heard, but not confirmed, Warroad looking west for some help. 3 kids from Minot making move East to play for Warroad (boys side). Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
The TG situation is total Crap. Coach runs a AAA program and magically players from no where near the historic geographic area TG gets it's students from enroll at TG as uperclassmen. So famlies from outstate Mn , Wis are discovering the northern suburbs?
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Whatever TG is doing it hasn't seemed to help much the past several years.
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Totally new coaching staff (actually twice) after longtime coach Loahr retired two years ago. Brian Murphy coached 2017-18 before leaving for CDH, then Adam Sharratt stepped in last year. Loahr was not a particularly aggressive recruiter, mainly sticking to the nearby communities, but things have definitely escalated the past few years, particularly with the pending move to AA. Unlike some other private schools, TG also openly accepts transfers at any age, rather than the typical K/5/9 grade entry points.
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Also helps to have Parkos coaching the U16 Blizzard team, which Caspers just so happened to play for.Stang5280 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 11:16 amTotally new coaching staff (actually twice) after longtime coach Loahr retired two years ago. Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
if he's coaching his own TG players on the Blizzard, he's in violation of MSHSL rules. It's no different then Greenway players not eligible to play on Team North or EGF players not eligible to play on Great Plains during the Elite League season.

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Parkos coaches the Blizzard. Caspers is a goalie for the Blizzard, but plays HS hockey in Marshall. He’s the goalie in question potentially transferring to TG, where Parkos coaches during the season.
