If you are talkin Rosemount, Lake North and South, Eagan, Eastview and Kennedy then you be talkin silly. All average or below this year. AV, BV and Chaska are good teams and BJ will be in the thick of it.

all im saying is they have some solid forwards returning, great goaltending, and some solid defense especially with the two transfers coming in from lakeville and benilde. id say that makes them a pretty solid team but well see if they put it all together.

Jefferson has to be the team to beat in 6AA.

However, the word is that the "Benilde Transfer" has now packed up and gone east. Can any of the baby blue fans confirm this?

Good luck to him, he's a nice guy.

As for the LV transfer, Barr, don't remember watching him play, but I do know he is a smart kid. I look forward to seeing what he can do on the ice.

From looking at this team, I would say that Jefferson is the team to beat. A strong goalie in Austin Lee, they have a solid group of defensemen and some guys who can score.
-------------------

Who is the orca? Who is the octopus? I AM THE WALRUS!

From what I've been told, he's attending Salisbury School in Salisbury, CT. <a href="

www.salisburyschool.org/
Looking at their website, it doesn't appear they'll have any more games than if he was at Jefferson. I'm sure he'll get more "exposure" to the Eastern college than if he was in MN. I hope everything works out for him out there. Moreso, I trust this is something HE wants to do.

Parity in 6AA this year. There are no clear favorites even on paper to start the year. Jefferson lost the most of any team. They will have to learn how to play without an offensive defenseman (connelly was one of the best) They will be good team but so will EP, Edina,
Minnetonka, Benilde and even Chaska (their football win over Ep may finally give the school some confidence)

Wide open in my eyes.

sloppyice-I wouldnt go to the point of saying minnetonka and chaska will be good teams this year. id have to say thats a little far-fetched!

Minnetonka and Chaska

Both Minnnetonka and Chaska are not favorites in this section, but both had very young teams last season. So, it is not "far-fetched" to believe that they will be much improved. You need to do a little homework here. Goaltending is the name of the game. Chaska has one of the best in the section.

Remember, you have judge teams on how good they will be this year - not what happened last year.

I wouldn't turn my back on Edina. They'll be much more of factor then some people may think.

What about Austin Lee? I would tend to give him the nod as the best goaltender in section 6AA but thats just me i guess.

Austin is terrific, and most likely the best goalie in the section. So, I agree with you.

However, Guggenberger at Benilde and Kreuser at Chaska are very talented.

Lee and edina

I would also like to give the nod to Austin Lee. Terrific tender.
But i also would not overlook edina, they may surprise some people.

From what I've heard, the school he attends has a pipeline to Harvard, so I think his goal is to go to Harvard in the long run.
-------------------

Who is the orca? Who is the octopus? I AM THE WALRUS!

hoser. if chaska wins that nonconference game with mt. st. charles in january then stand back. as the new orleans chef says "kick it up a notch", the hawks will take themselves seriously and so will the other lake teams.

Look at the video footage of Salisbury '05 Playoff victory <a href="
http://www.salisburyschool.org/at_schoo ... It looks like BIG rink 2
No fans on the far side of the rink, several rows of fans on the near side. What's my point? Jefferson may very well play in the State Tournament. It doesn't seem to compare to the crowd/exposure at the Xcel.

who is st. charles? i dont see one win carrying chaska the whole season sorry. they should be taken seriously but are NOT the best team in the lake and will not make a run for the title!

Mt. St. Charles, I know Holy Angels has been playing them for a couple years. Think they were Mass. State Champs 2 years ago. Don't know how they did last year.

They're comparable to Shattuck's Prep team, I believe they play each every season
