Alas, I don't seem to be able to find East vs. Grand Rapids in 2011, East vs. White Bear in 2011, or East vs. Elk River in 2014.

Throw in a few thrillers in regulation in 2013, 2015, and 2018, and it's not been a bad decade, even with games like the Rau game and the Rapids section finals going the other direction. I needed that trip down memory lane after this most recent season and the complete absence of sports period over the past week-plus.

Not quite a walk-off but Benilde scores with 23 seconds left to beat Edina in the 2012 quarterfinals. The young Hornets had the better of the play for most of the game against the eventual state champs. I'm not still sore about it or anything .

That was a good one BFC, remember it well. BSM was a destiny team that year.

So we're calling OT goals walk offs now instead?

Oddly enough I was at the first three games, as well as the Wheeler goal in 07.

Wasn't a walk-off, but Holy Family got Lagerbacked in 2018.

Yes. One of those sliding doors goals that had a domino effect around the state. Ruined Holy Family's dreams of a first state tournament appearance, saved Minnetonka's championship season, perhaps cost Duluth East or Edina a state title.

The Lagerback goal will go down as the #1 goal/event in Tonka Hockey history. Had it not occurred, 2018 state seeding would have likely looked like this:

1) Edina - (26-2-0); both losses to Tonka with 1 win over Tonka at home
2) East - (23-2-3) beat Tonka on the road
3) STA - (25-2-1) loss and tie to Tonka; win over HF
4) HF - (24-3-1) losses to Edina, STA and CDH
5) Centennial - was the 5th seed
6-7-8) STA, Lakeville North, & Hill Murray

Afraid not. I have East's 91 Tourney games, but have never seen a video of that section final or even of Fitzgerald's GWG.

This has the goal from the 91 section final. WDIO did their beyond the blue line last season and had the highlights from the game.

Not a GWG but anyone have vid of the STA kid (Novak?) several years back that had a sort of a, "parting of the Red Sea" celly with the student section - possibly during a section game?
