I (rather idly) watched this one. Small Falls dominated play from start to finish but couldn't get much to go until late. Nice, deep team that found a way to win. I think the other team I've seen in the outside-looking-in category in Class A (Denfeld) has a little more front-end talent, but the Flyers are probably deserving of their top ten ranking.

HM 3-1 over Chaska

OUCH. According to the Hub, shots were 54-15 HM. Makes you wonder if Hill will score enough against the good teams.

Yeah , the ChaskaChan system kids were overwhelmed tonite by both the Pios and SLP Orioles . Falness kept commenting the SOGs were pulled off scoreboard by the home scorekeeper🤣

flipped back and forth between those two , and seeing hockey back at Roseau Memorial is always good , 3-0 shutout of TRF

Time will tell. They have to replace a lot from last year and I'm not sure they have any true high-end goal scorers this year. More likely it will be by committee and the goal scoring is going to be spread out amongst a number of lines/players. Their goaltending and D should keep them in most every game. Pick your poison....STA won 7-5 and gave up those 5 goals on something like 24 shots. That would be more concerning for me.

Yeah, the score was somewhat deceiving given how much LF dictated game flow. Once they settled down after the first period, it was more of when, not if, the Flyers would hunt Princeton down. LF does have some talent - Filippi in particular stands out- but they aren’t going to blow too many teams out and will lean on Couture in net. (I enjoy the Little Falls broadcasts, as an aside.)

5A is a tire fire. I have no idea what to think of it after yesterday’s results. On the other hand, 6A looks very deep and competitive.

Watching most of this game, the shot count doesn’t surprise me as HM held most of the puck possession and zone time, though of those 54 shots only a few seemed like legitimately great scoring chances, and almost all of those were on the PP. Lots of perimeter play and little penetration. Guessing the Mahtomedi game was similar with only two goals and heavily outshooting. I’m sure that will come though.
