Man, for a full slate of games that is pretty terrible. None of the Lake teams are playing, so I guess that hurts. Class A has a few solid games, and then there is East-Hermantown, but that’s about it.

Well, the Stars certainly responded in the 2nd. Total dominance, and a 3-1 lead after they popped one in near the very end. Much more impressed by that stanza.

That was an impressive display. Gentry is a relentless machine. Their forechecking and cycling put constant pressure on opponents, and they are aware of where one another are at all times.

The score was much closer than the game. It was a thrashing. Interesting story told by the play by play guy. Evidently Moorhead JV was undefeated and had outscored the opposition 75-1 so far this year, which we can all agree is pretty amazing. HM JV got the better of them though with a 4-0 win.

it would be disappointing not to see Hermantown and Gentry in the state tourney... would make a great third place game...

It was rough to watch. I don’t know that Moorhead has a single good look or scoring chance. Hill had a lot of chances but the Spud’s goalie was pretty darn good.

In a squeaker, Maple Grove gets by Spring Lake Park 19-2. Shots on goal were 81-15. If all of SLP's shots would have gone in they still would have lost by 4.

Yikes. Considering they gave up 19, getting two of their own is kind of impressive, in its own funny way!

Elsewhere, Benilde scrapes past St. Louis Park 6-4 (EN). Much more competitive than the first meeting, with the game tied at 4 until 6:25 or so left in the 3rd. Solid showing by the Orioles.

STA 3 - Holy Family 3 Final

Switched over after watching the Hill game. STA took two major penalties - one in the 3rd that subsequently cost the Cadets two goals. Another right at the end of regulation that meant HF was on the PP for the majority of OT. Couldn’t punch one thru though.
