I'll bold this one. Section 6AA seeding implications.

Looking at a scenario where the state's toughest section in terms of Top 15-20 teams will most likely have its winner unseeded at state because of a lack of Top 5 candidates.

With a Wayzata win:
1. Cretin, 2. Wayzata, 3. Edina, 4. Benilde, 5. Blake, 6. St. Louis Park, 7. Holy Angels, 8. Hopkins

With a Benilde win it gets pretty wonky. Can make a case a few ways. This?:
1. Cretin, 2. Edina, 3. Benilde, 4. Wayzata, 5. Blake, 6. St. Louis Park, 7. Holy Angels, 8. Hopkins

I don't know that Edina will drop to 4 but can see it happening. Maybe #4 is the place to be so a team draws Blake and then gets Cretin if they win.

Trojans win 4-2, they get 2 back to back goals in late third , after a very tight game to that point

4th was probably only 11 seconds after the 3rd? Red Knights seemed distracted after the goal and subsequent discussion between coach and referee.

Should leave B-SM as the section's 4th seed. If they can win their first game an intriguing matchup at the Snoopy rink.

Spectacular week of 6AA hockey and it’s only Wednesday! After the way the game was called the last penalty on BSM was ticky tack. Great game to watch, I would say I think BSM actually won by playing that game as well as they did and pulling the 4 seed.

Might be a valid point

It was Valentine’s Day when the Red Knights were 10-0, sitting #5 in Karl’s rankings, and with everything in front of them. Fast forward a few weeks and they’ve lost 5 of 7 and look like possible pretenders. Karl pointed to that EP game as their litmus. Thus far they’re not passing that test.

All said, they still have everything in front of them. As others have mentioned, it feels like seeds 1-4 could be interchangeable in this section. So going in as the 4 isn’t so bad.
