With teams not playing the normal schedule with conference and some section teams it gets a little tougher to seed, but I guess the same can be said about each year.QRF does not usually honor a head to head win/loss whereas coaches tend to factor it in more for seeding IMO.I wish the KRACH was able to be more updated as I think it gives a better picture than QRF

Regarding 6AA, Blake deserves 4 and CDH 5. Blake has 2 fewer wins against a much more difficult schedule. Doesn’t make a ton of difference aside from where Tuesday’s game will be played. Also, winner tonight at PIC will most likely get the 2 and get to host Thursday’s rematch in the semis. Also, Edina will get a bye in the quarterfinals with OPC having to shut down for the season due to COVID.

When are the section seedings?

Most are being done via email chains/zoom calls tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. All depends on when teams are done with regular season games.

I will run it again after tomorrow's games. It was getting pointless to run it seeing Andover ranked around #10 and Northfield flirting with #1. We have had some more out-of-conference games for some teams recently due to game cancellations so hopefully the final regular season rankings will look a little more "human" when I run it this time.

1AA:
#1 Lakeville South
#2 Northfield (Gotta give them some credit for being undefeated, and only 7 goals against all year. Yes, cupcake schedule but they have dominated it.)
#3 Farmington
#4 Owatonna (Only losses were to Northfield)
#5 Dodge Co. (tougher schedule but no quality wins)
#6 Century
#7 Mayo

2AA:
#1 Minnetonka
#2 Holy Family
#3 Shakopee (Maybe #2? HF has a nice winning streak but no upsets in that streak. Shakopee has been so-so, one quality win against Burnsville. Flip a coin.)
#4 EP (Tough schedule but no quality wins.)
#5 Jefferson (Swept C/C)
#6 Chaska/Chan
#7 Prior Lake (Pellicci against former team HF in first round should be interesting!)
#8 New Prague

3AA:
#1 Burnsville
#2 Eastview (convincing win over Rosemount last night)
#3 Rosemount
#4 Apple Valley
#5 Eagan
#6 Lakeville North (may move to #5 if they beat Eagan tonight)
#7 Hastings
#8 Park CG

4AA:
#1 Stillwater/Hill-Murray
#2 Hill-Murray/Stillwater (Flip a coin, no common opponents.)
#3 East Ridge (Swept Roseville)
#4 Roseville
#5 Mounds View
#6 Woodbury
#7 White Bear Lake
#8 Irondale

5AA:
#1 Maple Grove/Centennial
#2 Centennial/Maple Grove (probably comes down to tonight's matchup)
#3 Blaine
#4 Rogers
#5 Champlin Park/CR
#6 Anoka

6AA:
#1 Edina
#2 BSM
#3 Wayzata
#4 CDH
#5 Blake
#6 United
#7 Hopkins/Park
#8 Osseo/PC

7AA:
#1 Andover
#2 Forest Lake
#3 North Wright Co (Tough schedule, beat GR and Wayzata)
#4 Elk River (Flip a coin for #4 and #5, I'll give the nod to ER for scoring 50% of the goals Andover has given up this year. :D)
#5 Grand Rapids/Greenway
#6 Northern Tier
#7 Duluth (Don't think the win over Northern Tier is enough to move them up)
#8 Princeton

#8AA:
#1 Roseau/Brainerd
#2 Brainerd/Roseau (Winner tomorrow decides top 2)
#3 Alexandria
#4 Moorhead
#5 St Cloud
#6 Buffalo (Beat Sartell, tough schedule)
#7 Sartell
#8 Bemidji

Interesting that Blaine gets the #2, I'm surprised they seeded the teams before the regular season ends. If Centennial wins tonight I think they have a legit argument for #1 seed. (And Blaine has a fairly difficult matchup with Orono tonight.) Blaine swept Maple Grove and split with Centennial. But Blaine has 2 more losses (Elk River and Rogers) than the other two with virtually the same schedule. In this section where the top 2 get a bye, it's even more important to get a top 2 seed, not that they should have any trouble with Anoka.

I think they got this one wrong, according to the game results and QRF which is usually followed pretty closely.

Boy, that Orono score (and shot differential) is not a good look for the strength of the nw suburban. Nobody doubts Andover is awesome, but the continued high rankings of the rest (Blaine, Centennial, even maple grove) is suddenly pretty suspect.

I didn't realize that game was this afternoon. Yikes, further cements that Blaine got lucky with the 2 seed. And I agree, it's looking like whoever comes out of 5AA should not be seeded in the state tourney.

6AA
1-Edina - Bye
2-BSM
3-Wayzata
4-Blake
5-CDH
6-Minnehaha
7-Hopkins

No real surprises although I thought Hopkins had an argument for the 6 spot.

Quarters on Tuesday; Semis on Thursday; Final on Saturday.

Who had "Breck will be the 4 seed in 5A" on their Bingo cards two months ago?

6-11, facing #5 Holy Angels Tuesday night....
