Nice, thanks. Both of these teams could use a win, and/or just a well-played game to get moving in the right direction. STA has lost 3 in a row, and in their last win (against Benilde) they were up 5-1 after two periods and had to hang on. Mahtomedi is 4-3-1 over their last 8.

Blake 4-2 Totino-Grace

Entertaining game. Blake was 3rd in the state last year and it is possible T-G will be a Top 10 team next season. Both teams have a few excellent players, with some probably being Div. I players when it is all said and done.

Eli Daniel for Blake scored on their first shot of the game. It was 3-2 after two with Oliver Moore notching the second for the pizza kids. A late goal on a sweet finish from Max Breon provided a little insurance for the Bears.

First time I saw Carter Krenke live since the state tournament. He was a nice freshman that moved a bit like a baby giraffe. Now he's awfully impressive. With his size he should have opportunities after high school that most kids don't. Entered the game for the team scoring lead with Jake Svenddal.

Benilde-Blake should be an excellent game later this week and Totino appears to be a team that can be a thorn in someone's side in Sections.
