Looks like Grand Rapids and Duluth East will be representing boys hockey on an outdoor rink at Target field during the NHL winter classic between the Wild and Blues. Pretty cool!

Does anyone have any other details? Is it a full game? Exhibition? I'm surprised this wasn't released more than 1 day before the event. Randolph is missing out.

This game isn’t on Rapid’s or East’s schedule on MN Hockey Hub.

I’m guessing they’re doing what the Gophers are doing, just skating around on one of the smaller rinks in the outfield.

Yeah, appears that's all it amounted to despite the NHL article that portrayed a larger event, oh well, still cool and very memorable for all included parties.
