A very entertaining game. About 7 minutes in Gentry scored shorthanded to take a 3-1 lead. They proceeded to get seal clubbed for the next period and a half but the dam never broke. Entering the third still down two, Holy Angels continued the assault before the other Stars finally got out of their end and Hall scored under the mitt to open up a 4-1 lead.

Finally the blue Stars got the scoring vibe going. One goal by Lechner was a great individual effort, but definitely a disappointing one for Gentry's goalie to give up. He was pretty incredible all night. On this he made the initial save and it somehow rolled over him. May have been knocked in by another AHA player.

Goal of the night goes to Johnson. He made it 4-3 when he set up at the hash on zone entry. Pausing, he had everyone in the building waiting for his pass. Instead, he zipped an absolute missile strike top corner near side. The goalie wasn't watching the post and wasn't squared up because he too was expecting a pass.

Winner about 1:15 into OT from a player scoring their first varsity goal. Backhand from top of the circle on a faceoff play. 5-hole, ice level.

These two teams should put on another entertaining game Saturday in Richfield.
