HM up 2-1 after 2. I'm really surprised by how poorly STA looks. They ice the puck a lot and are getting badly outshot. How did they beat CDH twice?

STA played much better in the 3rd period, except for a couple of really silly penalties that helped salt the game away for the Pioneers. One of Hill's top defenders, Leo Gruba, left the ice early in the 3rd and didn't return. The announcer seemed to think he hurt his hand. Hoping it's nothing serious - he's a stud blueliner for this team.

Yes many besides maple grove had them tabbed as a favorite. Great youth program of late but not consistent enough this winter. But they have serious talent

To say MG had a good trip up north is an understatement. Now we know why they don't go up to AA.

I was at the game. Gruba skated across from the bench to go to the locker room. Had a finger bandaged. Cut or broken?
