From the Rochester Post Bulletin…..

The (John Marshall) Rockets play Mayo at 3pm Saturday at Graham Arena in what will be their only meeting of the season.

After 56 years and 127 games Saturday’s game could be the last in the series.

The Rockets are facing 3 possibilities for the 2023-2024 season. 1) start the season with at most 14 skaters, 2) Co-op with another willing program, 3) let the program go dormant . None are very appealing options.

From me…..
The Rochester school board put John Marshall on road to this end 2 decades ago. John Marshall has a far higher number of kids on the free and reduced lunch program than either of the other 2 schools. If you have the means you probably aren’t sending your kids to John Marshall, that is just the sad reality in Rochester for many years now.

It is a sad end to another once proud program.

Too bad very sad for Rochester and MN hockey.

But things change.
