Warroad should be a shoo in but
BUT
two one goal game with East Grand Forks, recently.
The Wave outshooting the Warriors
Three times in one season...

It would be a shame not to see Hermantown and Warroad in the state finals BUT

This could be an upset.

Section 3A

Its pretty much been New Ulm all year
BUT
the Mankato teams will not make the long trek out west to New Ulm,
the New Ulm schedule is not packed with top quality contests so

I would say between Mankato East, Luverne and Mankato West
someone other than the #1 maybe at the X.

Section 6A
1. Alexandria
2. Fergus Falls
3. Northern Lakes
4. Wadena-Deer Creek
5. Morris/Benson
6. Willmar
7. Prairie Centre
8. Breckenridge/Wahpeton

I will go out on the limb and rule out Willmar, Prairie Center and Breckenridge.

Morris could win the 4 and 5 games.
But I do not see them beating Alex.
So Alex in the final should happen.

Fergus and Northern Lakes could go either way.
I could see NLakes getting over Alex as they did early on and are playing okay right now.

But I ahve to give this to Alex.

No upset would be happening in that matchup elliott would take me to the woodshed

At one time I would dive right in, but at 83 I try and count to ten,
well at least to six, before I throw the first punch.

Johnson will upset Mahtomedi. The Govies are on a roll now after finishing the regular season with a shutout over Mora/Milaca and their first win over a team from Minnesota this season. Besides, if this is the last season of Johnson hockey (hopefully it isn't), they might as well beat the number 1 seed and from there they will keep winning - including the the state championship this year.
