I could see Orono flipped above Mahtomedi. Orono is ranked 3rd in the last LPH Hockey Poll and usually state seeding goes according to the LPH rankings

Tough call. Ignoring LPH (which I normally do), Orono has a slightly better record against a weaker slate of teams. No head-to-head to go by here but in common opponents (there aren't many), Mahtomedi is 4-2, Orono is 3-3. I'd give a slight edge to Mahtomedi and not just because PageStat says so

Little Falls played both Mahtomedi and Orono early in the year. At that time I was very impressed with both teams, but Mahtomedi more so than Orono. It was Orono's first game of the year though.

Mahtomedi and Orono are heard to decide I think its 50/50 on who gets the 3 seed.

If Orono makes it and they get the 3 I could see them having a heck of time with either SCC or Alex.... I think the Zephyrs got a wake up call last night and would be dialed in if they are the 3 seed and they have been their before and experience which helps as none of the current Orono group has State Tourney experience and that could lead to major nerves.

No need for the coaches to seed Class A Guy because your seeds are spot on!

As for the LPH poll which is coaches based. Hasn’t been updated since February 7th. So, either the publication forgot to update it or they knew you and Karl had the polls figured out why bother

That is a great point LPH just stopped doing the poll and missed the last week of the regular season. I know they don't do it for Playoffs but didn't update it at the end of the regular season that is odd they never came out with an official end of the regular season poll.

Beat SCC, Maht, Orono and Hermantown

Hermantown lost to Warroad.

Northfield

New Ulm no wins against the state teams and lost to Detroit Lakes (closest team to going to state)
(apparently they should toughen up their schedule.)
Luverne beat no one and lost to no one. They should trade in the electric bus and get out of town.
If they get Warroad it will be running time two minutes into the game.
I am just kidding I am sure they have some nice players.
