Per the Hill boys hockey Twitter account, Pat Schafhauser has coached his last Hill game.

Maple Grove players and coaches went to the Hill bench to give him a very classy send off.

He was a steady presence behind the bench and never really got the credit for the D he developed. Wonder how long will Lechner play the string out. Good luck to Shaf.

Wow, had no idea. He has been such an important part of the Hill program for a long time. Hill’s D has been key to so many great teams over the years and he deserves a lot of the credit for that. Sad to see him go and wishing him the best.

I, too am sorry to see him go. We've had such steady defense under his leadership which keeps us in most games. I'm not sure how much Lechner has left either, so it will be a different staff in a short period of time.

Great guy & coach. He'll be missed in the Pioneer family.
