The Electric Indian is a new film about Henry Boucha. I'm not sure why it hasn't gotten much buzz in the local hockey community, but it will soon.

I know it was shown in Warroad last weekend, and I saw it at The Main theater in MPLS on Wednesday evening. The producer and several of the people who worked on it were there for a Q & A afterwards. Some of the Boucha family were there as well. It's just under an hour, and as it neared the end, I thought, "Wow, I can't believe that was only an hour, it seemed like 2 hours of information."

There didn't seem to be any people there who were obviously hockey people, no "Woodbury Hockey" jackets or anything like that. It seemed like there were more people from the Native community. You definitely want to see this. It will be broadcast on TPT (and possibly PBS) on March 26.

It will also be shown during the MPLS-Saint Paul Film Society's International Film Festival . I believe that will be in April. It's ten times better experiencing in a theater with other enthusiasts.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll wonder why Warroad is wearing their darks at home.

I'm re-upping this, as it airs this week on TPT. Don't miss this.
