Tonka 1, EP 0. Incredible fluke goal for Tonka by Luke Garry who lost control of the puck and was getting checked into the corner but was able to backhand the loose puck toward goal from below the goalline, where it somehow went into the net. It took me a few replays to even figure out what happened. There were no Tonka players around the goal. Chan and BSM was a fun game to watch. 2-0 BSM win with an empty netter. Even though Chan lost, Chan's goalie came up with some big saves to keep the margin from being wider.

I'm guessing BSM moves up to #4 in the rankings now. That means 6AA would have the #2, #3, and #4 teams in Class AA all in one section. Crazy stuff.

In the BSM-Chan game, a Chan guy dumped the puck and it hit the ref & went in, but the ref waved it off. Has anyone ever seen that?

I watched the replay online & nobody on Chan was offsides and the Chan player was inside the red line. Is thar really a rule to wave it off? I know it’s kind of a bum deal, but isn’t that just a break of the game?

Yes it’s a rule, only have seen it a few times, mostly in NHL games, but know it’s a rule all the way through

I saw Rapids lose a game in the late ‘70’s on a goal that clearly went off a ref’s skate. Players were not happy but it was considered a bad break then I believe. It definitely didn’t get waved off. I don’t know if it should’ve or not at that time.

Pete Waggoner has 6AA seeding as 1) Wayzata, 2) BSM, 3) Edina, and 4) Holy Angels. He has no input on seeding though. I just thought it was interesting that Edina would be third in its section after being second or third in state all season.
