Rumor has it that Kaenan Smith, Goalie from Duluth Marshal will play for Sioux Falls Power

Also heard that Omaha would like for Jimmy Egan to play for SF Power as well and that Dakotah Bailey w/ Gentry has possibly made Omaha outright.

Interesting - I would think Omaha would want those players at Omaha U18 if they are playing AAA - Wilke the GM owns the AAA program.

That would be odd to send Egan to SF Power...so I think that rumor may be incorrect from that standpoint.

I also see Brady Krey (G - Rogers) is leaving Omaha AAA and heading back to NorthStar in Alexandria. They must not have plans for him at the USHL level this season?

Can confirm that Dakotah Bailey from Gentry will play full time for Omaha in USHL next season. Was wondering if he'd play for the Mallards in NAHL since his dad owns it.

I am pretty sure I saw Krey on another USHL camp roster recently. Omaha must've dropped his rights, which is surprising since he was picked fairly early last year as a Phase 1 draft pick as a goalie. Omaha probably has the BU 06 commit coming back and Chanhassen's Hendrickson locked in for the year....but seems odd they would move on this soon from him.

Max Rider (St. Louis Park) has made Madison and will be playing his senior year in Wisconsin.

Ryland Rooney (Gentry Academy) heading to Long Island Gulls U15.

Also hearing Aiden Gloassklaus (Woodbury/MSU Mankato) has made Des Moines and will be playing his senior year in Iowa.

Reliable sources seem to be indicating several kids will/have make ushl rosters and plan to play full season there if all goes well . But as usual lots of uncertainties between now and Nov 15 when HS season starts , so things can often change

As did Hudson Ferrie at Moorhead, who would have been moving up from Bantam to HS.

Tate Hardacre of SWC Jr. looks to have made Youngstown (USHL) not sure if it is a before and after but looks like another potential big early departure if he is gone.

Just perused USHL rosters. It's amazing how little production the Minnesota HS eligible players have so far this season. If they remained enrolled, I suspect we'll see a lot of the "100% gone" kids magically reappear in a week. Let's just say I have as many points this season as almost all of them. Combined.

What is the rule for HS players playing junior? Is there a limit on number of games they can play prior to the HS season?

A kid can do whatever they want out of season. Kickball, NAHL, tour with John Mayer.

No limit on how many games someone plays elsewhere when HS hockey is not in season.
