Have they announced who’s replacing Lou on the broadcast for AA games?

Tom Hauser has denied it is him, according to Pat Kessler on Barrero's show yesterday.

The speculation a few months ago was that Ben Clymer and/or Mark Parrish would just replace Lou since they were already doing games previously on the Class A side.

I'll take Clymer over Parrish.

You don't want to be The Guy Who Replaced The Legend, you'll never fill those shoes. You want to be The Guy Who Comes After The Guy Who Replaced The Legend.

Agree with ESPG and Puck. Lou means as much to Minnesota hockey as anyone.

I don’t know Lou personally but I know a few guys who do. They all say he’s a great guy.

I'd rather listen to Parrish instead of Clymer.

I think it was more than ten years ago, Luigi had one of those male cancers, i don't recall exactly what. At that time, men didn't really talk about that when they had it. After Luigi got his diagnosis, he was very public about it. He talked about what his doctor laid out for treatment, and was very open about.

A short time later, Luigi is in an elevator with a guy he doesn't know. Between floors, the guy hits the emergency stop. Luigi is wondering what's going on with this guy. He tells Luigi he just got the same diagnosis, and he was scared as hell. Luigi talked the guy off the ledge, told him what to expect, and that he'd be OK.

That is leadership. To whom much is given, much is expected. Luigi has had a very blessed life, and he's given back a lot. If he'd not been public about his cancer, that guy never would have cut a vein.

One day Lou will leave us. And you will likely remember where you were when you heard the news. He's not a tough act to follow, he's an impossible act to follow.

I would rather have Parrish than Clymer as well. My favorite color commenter by far is Pat Micheletti. Pretty sure he is under contact to the Big more than 10 network. He did make this weekends Gopher Broadcast tolerable.

Well spoken ESPG. I've told people for years Lou doesn't just call the game, he teaches the game as he's calling it.
And his observations of things most people would miss is way beyond anyone else.
Since he announced his retirement from broadcasting (although he may or may not show up at Wild games) the hockey world became less entertaining.
To say he'll be missed isn't enough.
Blessings to you and your family, Lou!

Tom Reid, anyone? That is if he can get away from his KFAN Wild duties. I've always thought he's very good at it.
But I'm throwing my hat or helmet on the ice for Parrish, too.

Tony Scott. Tony. Scott.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Tony Scott isn't the guy to replace Lou. The tweet you probably saw was from YHH Memes, a parody/satire account. Unfortunately, things got a little too real, as Tony's phone started blowing up with people thinking he had the gig.

Damn. I think he'd be fun. Although I rarely watch the tournament on TV. Nor have I seen much of him on Friday Night Ice.

Micheletti is very good. Also like listening to him on KFAN's hockey show, "Beyond the Pond".

I think this is a great person to hold down the job until Nate Schmidt retires from the NHL…feels like he has the charisma and checks a lot of other boxes (played in the tourney, Gopher, long NHL career) so I’m giving him the Tom Brady treatment.
