Aside from all of the recruiting talk, what is this guys reputation like out there? I held a higher regard for him considering his background but after seeing him after the Tonka vs EP game last night the guy seems like a total prick. I couldn't really see what was going on but he was going absolutely bezerk in the hallway outside of the locker room. Totally unprofessional in my opinion.

I'm disappointed no one has replied to this with some insight.

If you’re familiar with EPCC, the visiting teams locker room is in the hallway between rinks 1 and 3. He was outside the locker room screaming in an F bombed rage. Couldn’t tell if it was directed at staff or a player but it seemed to be directed toward the JV group. I don’t expect the guy to be a saint but do it within the locker room and not outside for all to see and hear. Like I said he looked like a total nut job.

In order to provide some balance, I’ll share a few insights about Coach Goldsworthy. I have interacted with him a couple times as an announcer to get starting lineups, pronunciations etc. He was kind and respectful.

From the outside, his players seem to like playing for him. I’m sure he has his detractors, but who doesn’t? There also seems to be stability with his coaching staff.

I did not witness the incident you are referring to. That being said, I see him as a demanding coach who has earned the respect of his program. Last night at the Edina game, a timeout was called. One of his players lingered on the ice to argue a call with a ref. He forcefully yelled “Get over here!” Small moment, but to me that said a lot.
