i read this on Spectors Hockey this morning, taken from the Pioneer Press...<br><br>SABRES COULD LOSE VANEK?<br>ST.PAUL PIONEER PRESS: Charley Walters reported yesterday Buffalo Sabres prospect Tomas Vanek could opt to play in the Western Hockey League's major junior competiton next season if he doesn't get "the right contract this summer". That would enable Vanek to become a free agent next June. Walters cites Ben Clymer as an example of a player doing this, signing with the Tampa Bay Lightning.<br><br>...if this is true it would be a huge loss for the gophs, because it looks like he would be back as buffalo isnt likely to sign him this summer<br> <p></p><i></i>
